Exploring the Kastro district
This was our second time to Naxos and it was such a pleasure to return to this magical and well rounded island making it our favorite. For now, it is mostly filled with Greek tourists and boasts some of the best tavernas, local food and activities in the Cyclades island group. Naxos has many beaches to visit and lounging under an umbrella enjoying a beverage while enjoying the stunning views is recommended. The town which lies on the seaport is super charming and the Kastro district in our opinion is one of the most romantic exploratory walks in Greece. There is a great taverna in town that has Greek music every night called To Elliniko which we enjoyed a few times as well as our local favorite Boulamatsis Oinomageirion. We stayed right on Agios Nikolaos just north of town. Dotted with beach bars and tavernas this was a perfect starting point.
