Although we centered ourselves in nearby Kovalam, Trivandarum was the nearest big city that we would explore several times and grow to love. South India is hot, tropical and much more relaxed then the North. Think California vs. NYC. Much more of what feel like ancient fibers running through a modern people. The south left a spell on us from its smiling residents, warm communities and powerful traditions; it was a welcome respite from the high speed survival game of Rajasthan and Delhi.
